Mini-Frac’ DFIT Testing

Doubles For Initial Test… Mini-frac’ or Diagnostic Fracture Injection Tests (#DFIT) help double your #welltest efficiency if pressure gauges are downhole. To satisfy #AER Initial Requirements for Oil or Gas (#LNG) wells a minimum shut-in of 8 h is required, but longer shut-in times are always better for #PTA. Note the pressure fall-off does not have to pass the 2 kPa Rule, nor does the well have to be shut-in >14 days. The Board will accept PAS files flagged as analyzed with an extrapolated pressure (p*). Micro-permeability (unconventional) systems will probably never reveal pseudo-radial flow.
