We did indeed, finally, thankfully, get rid of our exchange server – and moved several systems to The Cloud: e-mail, accounting, and back-up. We are very happy with all of our researched choices for software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers.
We couldn’t wait to dump QuickBooks – and are now saving over $100/month! We looked around the globe for a cloud accounting solution and settled with Xero out of New Zealand. Partly because they have a whole whack of add-on collaborators: CRM, E-commerce, Payroll, POS, inventory…all synchronizing with Xero. It took us a week to get everything prepared, imported, and set up – but it was well worth the effort. Xero support is exemplary, and they actually add things we ask for, with no software updates for us to install (on every single one of our six (6) computers…). Being on the cloud means we can access it from wherever, whenever. We love it!
